Renaissance. This is how Mercedes Benz defines the new AMG SL 2022 as an icon that reconnects with its roots through the physical characteristics that make it stand out in the market.
The wide and elegant hood is the first thing that catches your eye when looking at the car from the front. Sportiness also showcases the aesthetic chosen by the German manufacturer for this model, which boasts luxury, speed and traction.
Two models will take over the US market: the AMG SL 55 and the AMG SL 63, offering options that make them unique, where mechanical performance matters but aesthetic and technological aspects do not go unnoticed.
The AMG SL 63 is powered by a handcrafted 4.0-litre AMG V8 biturbo powertrain. which hides in a beautiful case, completely assembled by hand, placed in the smallest detail and symmetrically latched to which puts out 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. and release between 2500 and 5000 rpm.
In addition, it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph. Secondly, AMG SL 55 is listed with a 469 hp V8 engine. and torque of 516 lb-ft.accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, just three tenths of a second faster than its German counterpart, with a top speed of 183 mph.
Both cars will be available in the US in two versions with a set of physics and technology sections called Touring and Performance.
The Touring variant will offer active LED headlights, active multi-contour seats with massage, heated steering wheel, AMG DRIVE UNIT, steering wheel buttons, AMG light display, illuminated door sills, Burmester surround sound system, 11.9-inch center display, backup surround camera complete with navigation video (SL 63 only), AMG Track Pace MBUX app (SL 63 only) and AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension (SL 63 only).
The Performance variant, on the other hand, features all of the above plus front axle lift, AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension (SL 55 only; standard on SL 63), AMG Dynamic Plus package (SL 55 only; standard for SL 63). SL 63), RACE driving program, electronic self-locking rear differential and yellow brake calipers.

The 2022 Mercedes-AMG SL 55 will cost $137,400 and the 2022 Mercedes-AMG SL 63 will cost $178,100.
