A few weeks ago, Porsche announced the creation of a very special car for two very important reasons. The first of them came from purely profitable considerations, and the second recreated one of the most iconic cars from the Cars cartoon.
Sally came to life thanks to a German manufacturer. For those who are not very clear who she is, she is a faithful companion of Lightning McQueen, who won the hearts of fans of the series.
Her character was based on a Porsche 911 called Sally Special. Oh orra, perfectly recreating the animation design and making it a reality, The buyer offered $3.6 million to keep the coveted car.
And most importantly, the proceeds from the sale, which was billed as the largest in the history of Porsche auctions, will go towards two causes: Girls Inc and USA for UNHCR.
Girls Inc is an organization that inspires all girls to be strong, smart and courageous, and USA for ACNUR is listed as the United Nations Refugee Agency, which aims to provide support to refugees who were forced to move as a result of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
The winner of the auction made an offer by phone, according to the German manufacturer.which, in addition to the Porsche 911 Sally Special, will receive a personalized Porsche Design watch, a car cover and a book recreating the entire creation process.
The shape of the car fits perfectly into the cartoon, of course, this model will not have eyes on the windshield, but looking at the hood and front grille, it is impossible not to draw comparisons with Sally.
Catchy, spectacular and elegant, but at the same time, soft blue color adorns the body of Sally, where, in addition, sporty wheel rims stand out along with the characteristic headlights of the “Car” character.
