What The Alliance is about: a joint project between Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi

January 27, 2022 is marked, without a doubt, as one of the the most iconic days in the history of Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi after revealing important news and actions to be taken by 2030 in favor of the sustainability and development of smart mobility, focusing on the mobility value chain through its cooperation program called: Alliance.

Target is to prepare everyone to lead the global mobility revolution by sharing investment it points to electrification and connectivity, emphasizing that this kind of action cannot be done by one company growing over the years until it becomes carbon neutral in 2050.

Secondly, the battery sector does not go unnoticed. The three brands estimate that energy costs will be reduced by up to 50% by 2026 and 65% by 2028. Also by 2030 The Alliance will have the capacity and manpower to produce 220 GWh of batteries.

Solid-state batteries are also in the pipeline, this time thanks to Nissan expertise to be shared between Renault and Mitsubishi for mutual benefit.

At the software and technological level Alliance Cloud promises to surprise in 2026. However, a year before that, the Alliance’s first fully software-driven machine will arrive. This section will also develop autonomous driving.

Undoubtedly three vehicle manufacturers have joined forces to dominate the sector and offer the best experience to their customersstrengthen their structures and promote the process of decarburization in the short, medium and long term.
