The electric crossover Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV will be able to travel 600 km without recharging. The cost of the electric car will exceed $150,000.
The new Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV has been spotted in Sweden. The first mass-produced Maybach electric car is being tested in the extreme conditions of the Arctic. This has been reported by the Autoevolution website.
Test prototypes of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV were partially covered in camouflage, making their design impossible to see in full. However, the production model is unlikely to differ from last year’s concept car, and its front will be styled in the traditional Maybach style.
Big changes must happen inside. The Maybach version will be much more luxurious than the standard Mercedes EQS SUV. Expensive leather and wood will be used in the decoration, and two separate seats with electric drive, ventilation and massage will be installed at the rear, as in the example of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS.
The power plant will most likely be borrowed from the Mercedes EQS SUV 580. This means that the Maybach electric crossover will receive two engines with a total capacity of 536 hp. with. and the cruising range will be approximately 600 km.
The new Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV should be available in mid-2023. With a starting price of over $150,000, it will be Mercedes-Benz’s most expensive electric car.
