The famous car of Jean-Paul Belmondo is up for sale (video)

The tuned Ford Mustang became the hero of the famous movie “Outlaw” with Jean-Paul Belmondo in the lead role. The car was remembered for its spectacular chase scene.

In France, a 1966 Ford Mustang was put up for auction by Artcurial. Plan to help from 200,000 to 400,000 euros for the car plan. The history of the car is explained on the website of the auction house.

Classic first-generation Ford Mustangs are popular with collectors, but they tend to be cheaper. Very expensive are only rare and special versions of the model.

This tuned coupe is notable for being featured in the famous 1983 movie Le Marginal, starring Jean-Paul Belmondo. In the story, the famous actor plays a successful police officer who often resorts to harsh and illegal methods in the fight against crime.

Among other things, the film was remembered for its spectacular chase: the hero Belmondo in the Ford Mustang goes after the killers of the drug mafia. The scene became a reference to the famous chase in the cult movie “Bullitt” with Steve McQueen.

For the shoot, they created two of these Ford Mustangs with the 4.7-liter 271-horsepower V8. They’ve been lowered, optics replaced, fenders widened and massive tires fitted. They painted cars green, like Steve McQueen’s cars.

The stunts were staged by famous stunt driver Remy Julien. The movie was talking about the car being armored, but there was actually no protection and a car was smashed.

The second copy was bought by one of the members of the film crew, but later the Mustang ended up in a dump. Found and restored to its original state.
