Porsche will offer state-of-the-art multimedia systems for its vintage cars

Porsche has succeeded in giving vintage owners the opportunity to enjoy their cars in our time. New infotainment systems are available for classic sports cars and the first generation Cayenne crossover.

Porsche decided to offer its customers modern multimedia systems that can be installed on older models of the company. Details are on the Carscoops website.

Infotainment systems become obsolete over time. Technologies familiar to modern users cannot be found in older cars.

To solve this problem, Porsche created a modified Classic Contact touchscreen for the classic 911 sports cars and the original 986 Boxster. Options are also available for the 987 Boxster/Cayman models and the Cayenne crossover.

The Classic Communication Plus system for the 2003-2008 Cayenne is larger than the standard system and has fixed keys on both sides of the screen. The device has a 7-inch touchscreen that can connect gadgets via Bluetooth, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Porsche has developed different versions of Classic Communication Plus for Europe and North America. Units sold in Europe are equipped with DAB+ digital radio and another version with SiriusXM satellite radio.

It also has an on-board computer, and the 911, Boxster and Cayman models have the ability to save personal settings for features such as lighting, windshield wipers, climate control and door locks. The cost of systems in Europe starts at $1645.
