Iconic DeLorean sports car from the movie “Back to the Future” spotted in Ukraine (video)

A rare sports car DeLorean DMC-12 was noticed in Chernivtsi. The car gained immense popularity thanks to the films “Back to the Future”. This was reported by the TopZhyr site.

The DeLorean DMC-12 was produced in Northern Ireland from 1981 to 1983. After the release of the movie trilogy “Back to the Future”, the sports car has become an incredibly desirable car among motorists.

Only two DeLorean DMC-12s are known to have been seen in Ukraine. One of them belongs to Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov, the second was imported into Ukraine in 2021.

For the first time, a sports car with Bulgarian license plates was noticed in the Bukovel ski resort. Since then, the car has not received Ukrainian registration.

The video shows the DeLorean DMC-12 in excellent condition. The owner drives his car carefully and maintains it regularly.

Recall that a total of 8.5 thousand copies of the DeLorean DMC-12 were produced. It is equipped with a 2.8-liter V6 engine from Peugeot with a capacity of 130 hp. and 207 Nm of torque. The maximum speed of the sports car is 175 km / h.

DeLorean went bankrupt in 1983 due to multiple financial problems and the arrest of CEO John DeLorean. Also, the poor build quality and unreliability of the DMC-12 sports car played a big role in the financial collapse.
