Tesla tops brand loyalty rankings for the first time

Americans have determined the winners of the Automotive Loyalty Awards 2022. The Tesla brand received the most awards. This was reported on the Autoevolution website.

Tesla has won five of the eight Manufacturers and Loyalty Awards. The brand surpassed Ford in customer loyalty in the US for the first time this year. Currently, General Motors leads the “general automaker commitment” category.

Experts noted that in 2022, due to the shortage of cars, many customers chose models from other manufacturers. Therefore, average loyalty to certain brands fell from 54.6% to 50.2% in 2019.

Tesla received the “General Commitment to Production” award for the first time. Prior to that, Ford had held the award for more than ten years in a row.

Tesla also won in the “Highest Market Capture Percentage”, “Best Alternative Vehicle Loyalty” and “Enhanced Loyalty” nominations. Model 3 won the Best Premium Compact Car category and Model Y won the Best Premium Compact Crossover category.

Also, the winners were Mercedes-Benz and Subaru. It’s the first time a Japanese brand has won the overall loyalty category.
