Lancia Stratos has won the World Rally Championship three times. The extravagant appearance of the supercar was developed by the famous Italian designer Marcello Gandini.
In the USA, a 1974 Lancia Stratos was put up for auction by Gooding & Company. They plan to go from $600,000 to $700,000 for the famous supercar. Details of the car appeared on the auction house’s website.
The Lancia Stratos was created with rally in mind, but a production model had to be released in those years for it to be competitive. In total, only 492 of these mugs were produced.
On the rally tracks of the 70s Lancia Stratos was unbeatable. The Italian company has won the WRC World Championship three times (in 1974-1976) and Stratos has a total of 18 stage victories.
The brilliant design of the Lancia Stratos was created by the famous Italian stylist Marcello Gandini, the author of the Lamborghini Countach and Miura. The car has a distinctive wedge-shaped silhouette with a raised rear end, panoramic glass and retractable headlights.
Another feature of the Lancia Stratos is the engine of the Ferrari Dino. This 2.4-liter V6 produces 190 horsepower. With. accelerates a light (980 kg) coupe to 100 km / h in 6 seconds and allows you to accelerate to 230 km / h.
