Brave heist: six new Dodge sports cars stolen from a car dealership at once (video)

The criminals were well prepared and managed to deal with the theft before the alarm sounded. Police managed to find only five of the six stolen cars.

Six Dodge Challenger Hellcat muscle cars were stolen simultaneously from a car dealership in Somerset, Kentucky. This was reported on the WKYT News portal.

The crime occurred at around 02:00 local time on February 28. Cameras recorded how the criminals stole six Dodge Challengers in less than a minute.

There were four powerful cars in the showroom of the car dealership. Two more sports cars were parked outside.

Reporters said the attackers were able to easily steal six cars because their keys were in the ignition. Also, sports cars were fitted with temporary license plates in place.

The management of the car dealership believes that one of the employees may have been involved in the crime. This is implied that criminals know very well how the security system works.

Dealer manager Adam Bryant said, “The alarm went off 60 seconds after it went off. The perpetrators left 20 seconds before the alarm went off. The police response time was about three minutes. It was really good.”

The car theft then turned into a high speed police chase. The criminals were driving at a speed of about 290 km/h.

An hour later, the police managed to stop one of the hijackers with a pointed tape. He tried to escape on foot, but was arrested.

In total, police found only five of the six stolen Dodge Challengers. One ran out of gas and three more cars were found in other states.
