Another electrified model joins the Volkswagen (VW) list of green vehicles. This is the ID.AERO, the brand’s first all-electric sedan with a set of unique mechanical features and specifications that many classify as a direct competitor to the Tesla Model 3.
As a mid-size premium sedan, the German manufacturer has unveiled the next generation that will top the list of electric vehicles, where VW is gradually positioning itself as one of the strongest in the world, and which in 2021 took over 11% of the market.
At almost five meters long, Volkswagen entered the aerodynamic section intensively after drawing deep and continuous lines that start from the front grille and slide across the entire structure, ending at the rear, reaching a factor of 0.23.
The windshield gives a racing look, as if it were an airplane cockpit or a futuristic car, reinforcing the concept of the “next level” in relation to electric vehicles. This feeling is appreciated from the front, since from the side the design looks more like a car than an airplane.

On an aesthetic level, it will feature 22-inch wheels that are flush with the wheel arches, with an all-body paint job called Polar Light Blue Metallic. One of the details that draws the most attention is the replacement of the door handles with tactile surfaces that enhance the futuristic feel and contribute to less wind resistance.
Volkswagen claims that the vehicle will be global in scope, available to markets in China, Europe and the US, presenting the German marque as a worthy successor to the ID.4 in terms of popularity and global reach.
The ID.AERO will have a range of over 600 kilometers thanks to a powerful 77 kWh battery and is expected to hit the market in 2023 as part of Volkswagen’s push to position itself as the benchmark for electric models in the market.
Finally, a vehicle with such performance will reinforce the zero emission plans set as a must by 2050 by being sustainable, elegant and powerful, and with features that are perfectly matched to seduce potential customers.
