The British are preparing an electric SUV in the spirit of the classic Land Rover Defender

British company Ineos is developing an electric SUV in the style of the classic Land Rover Defender. This is reported on the PistonHeads website.

The Ineos lineup will be replenished with a new electric model. The novelty will be smaller than the Grenadier SUV.

The electric car will be shown in a few years, but the exact date of the demonstration is still unknown. However, there is already some information about the future SUV.

“Our new electric SUV will be zero-emissions and offer customers exceptional off-road capabilities without sacrificing road comfort or performance,” said Lynn Calder, CEO of Ineos.

The new model will be tested on Mount Schockl in Austria. The main focus will be on improving the SUV’s off-road qualities.

Production of the new electric car is scheduled for 2026. The model will be assembled at a factory in Austria.

Like the Grenadier, the electric vehicle will draw inspiration from classic Land Rover models, particularly the first-generation Defender. It will be distinguished by innovation, modern technologies and rich equipment.
