Volkswagen T-Roc, Renault Austral E-Tech, Volvo XC40, Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Staria were also tested. One of these models was recognized as the most environmentally friendly gasoline car in the world.
Crossover Renault Austral E-Tech received three stars in the overall ranking. The model scored the highest score of 6.5 for the air purity index.

Tests showed that the Volkswagen T-Roc achieved the highest air purity index of any petrol or diesel vehicle. The model received a score of 7.7 out of 10.
