The Italian company DR Automobiles presented its new model – the PK8 flatbed van. The car goes on sale in the European market. This was reported by the site Motor.es.
The new DR PK8 looks familiar because it is based on the Chinese pickup truck JAC T8, which is presented on the Ukrainian market. DR Automobiles brings together a number of Chinese brands for Europe.
Its Italian counterpart differs from the JAC T8 only in the front-end design with a large radiator grille. The 5.3 m long four-door car has a load capacity of 830 kg and can pull a two-ton trailer.
The top version of the model will go on sale for 32,900 Euros in the first place. It received a leather interior, a digital instrument cluster and a large 10.4-inch portrait-format touchscreen. It also has keyless entry, sunroof, climate control, cruise control and heated seats. The basic variant will go up to 24,600 euros in the summer.
All DR PK8s will be equipped with a 2.0-liter 136-horsepower turbodiesel and a 6-speed manual transmission. Top speed is 150 km/h and average fuel consumption is 11 l/100 km. All-wheel drive is supplemented by a reduction gear.
It is noteworthy that in China, this JAC pickup truck was recently updated and is already available with a powerful gasoline turbo engine and automatic transmission. Later, hybrid and electric versions will also be on sale.
Moreover Focus it turned out that the new Moskvich 6 hatchback is a Chinese JAC.
