RBS#01: World’s ‘Most Advanced’ Electric Scooter Courtesy of Red Bull

Red Bull Racing is enjoying moments of glory in Formula 1, with Max Verstappen being crowned a two-time champion last season and the team taking the Constructors’ Championship at the 2022 US Grand Prix. F1, which they lead with authority. With that in mind, in the midst of the hype, they decided to shift their championship ingenuity to electric micromobility.

The Austrian team put all their ingenuity into the development of the RBS#01, an electric scooter that the organization classifies as “the most advanced in the world.” The design comes from the F1 car.

The chassis was made from carbon fiber, a common chassis material for Grand Circus cars, in addition to chrome-molybdenum alloy steel, a rather exotic and eye-catching material. The wheels are also inspired by the tires used in Formula One.

Here’s how Red Bull Racing describes the RBS#01, a true “thoroughbred”. Mechanically, it has a power of 750 watts, a maximum torque of 80 Nm, a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour and a weight of only 23 kilograms, which provides an autonomy of up to 60 kilometers. The Austrian team even claims that the scooter has a power-to-weight ratio that a Formula 1 car would be proud of.

On the other hand, the large diameter wheels, together with the high performance tires, provide a safe ride, ideal for safe cornering without having to worry about potholes or gutter grates.

In addition, another standout feature is the high-performance 4-piston hydraulic disc brake system that can withstand loads up to 3G thanks to 1511N rear wheel, 5480N jump, 3G shock. x 120 kg (4120 N) inside curb, 1.75 G x 120 kg (2058 N) sideways, 5900 N (+45°) camber front and 5900 N rear (-45°).
