Alfa Romeo announced details of an inexpensive sports electric crossover (photo)

The Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce crossover is equipped with a 280 horsepower electric motor. The chassis of the car was also changed and its design became more aggressive.

The new Alfa Romeo Junior (previously known as Milan) will receive a powerful sports version of the Veloce. The crossover will be an electric car and its price will be just over 40,000 euros. Its details were announced on the official website of the Stellantis concern.

The Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce crossover is equipped with an electric motor producing 280 hp. and 345 N∙m. Interestingly, the Italian automaker had previously announced 240 horsepower.

Acceleration to hundreds will take less than 6 seconds. The 54 kWh battery provides a range of almost 400 km.

To cope with such traction a Torsen sports differential has been fitted. The steering and suspension of the Alfa Romeo Junior have also been changed and the ground clearance has been reduced by 25 mm. The diameter of the front brake discs has been increased to 380 mm.

Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce electric car stands out with its more aggressive bumpers, body kit and 20-inch wheels. The grille pattern mimics the Alfa Romeo logo.

The interior of the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce is equipped with a sports steering wheel and seats. Alcantara was used for decoration.

Meanwhile, the classic Alfa Romeo sports car from the 80s has recently returned to production.
