Skoda may revive the famous cheap crossover: first details

Skoda is considering the possibility of reviving the Yeti crossover. Its second generation will be a compact and inexpensive crossover with a spacious interior.

Skoda Yeti crossover may return to the market soon. This was stated by Skoda CEO Klaus Zellmer to the German publication Auto Motor und Sport.

Klaus Zellmer admitted that he has always been an ardent fan of the Skoda Yeti. There is a chance that the crossover will be revived, but in this case it will be produced in India and not in Europe.

The new Skoda Yeti has every chance of being an inexpensive budget model. The car will be slightly larger than the Skoda Kylaq and Kushaq crossovers produced in India. It will retain the form factor of a small crossover with a spacious interior and high roof.

Let us recall that the compact crossover Skoda Yeti was produced from 2009 to 2017 and was even assembled in Ukraine. The model attracted great attention for its interior and interior transforming capabilities. The car was offered with gasoline and diesel engines with power from 105 to 170 horsepower.

The Skoda Yeti did not have a direct successor because it was replaced by two models at once: the larger Skoda Karoq and the more compact Kamiq.
