Yeni Safak: Ankara receives the cheapest gas among European capitals

Consumers of natural gas from Russia, living in Turkey’s Ankara, receive “blue fuel” at lower prices than residents of Western European countries, reports the national newspaper Yeni Safak.

According to an authoritative publication, after the introduction of unilateral economic restrictions by Western countries against Russia, the average cost of a cubic meter of natural gas has increased significantly.

Among European capitals, the cheapest gas in Ankara is 4.68 liras (0.26 euros) per cubic meter“, the message says.

In addition, the publication noted that at the moment, residents of the capital of the Netherlands pay the most for a cubic meter of gas in Europe – about 3.01 euros.

Families living in England pay 35 lire (1.96 euros) per cubic meter of natural gas, while residents of Berlin pay 32.6 lire (1.83 euros) “, – the authors of the publication emphasized.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during negotiations in Sochi, agreed to pay for natural gas supplies in rubles.
