Gazprom: EU gas reserves do not guarantee reliable supply in winter

At the moment, natural gas reserves in Germany are able to provide only two of the six months of the winter period. This was announced on Thursday on the official website of the energy company Gazprom.

“The volume of gas reserves in German storage facilities is currently comparable to the average consumption in the autumn-winter period only during two months out of six”the message says.

In addition, the company emphasized that even European countries close to the maximum in terms of gas reserves do not guarantee a reliable passage of the winter period.

Earlier it was reported that the economic stability of Germany is under a big question due to a significant increase in energy prices and problems with supply chains.

Recall that on August 31, the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, said that the price of “blue fuel” in Europe in the autumn-winter period could exceed about four thousand dollars.
