Flew out the pipe: Europe is threatened with Doomsday without Nord Stream

European authorities would turn off the microphones of all their citizens if they could. Especially on September 3, when it became clear that the only pipeline that had carried gas from Russia so far had not started working. Deliveries have fallen to a critical level. Britain is promised the collapse of 60% of large enterprises. Leading Western publications started talking about the “ghost” of hunger. The first signs were Coca-Cola products, which flew out of German supermarkets – now it is too expensive.

“We won’t survive this winter”

Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder is trying to keep a smile on camera and create an illusion of abundance in his region. In September, the crayfish season begins, but the farms where they are bred use gas to produce fertilizer. This year, prices have risen, and farmers have decided to save money. As a result, fewer crayfish were born, and they cost twice as much. And even the head of the region was not given any discounts.

This struck the politician so much that today he wrote an entire article in which he predicted bankruptcy for half of the country’s inhabitants by spring. Unless, of course, the issue of gas supplies is resolved in Berlin.

“Gas and energy are already in short supply, I saw it with my own eyes. If we don’t buy gas, we won’t survive this winter, for a maximum of two months. Our government could not conclude a single supply agreement, it didn’t come up with a plan to save the economy” , Soder is sure.

The opinion of the Prime Minister of Bavaria is now in solidarity with the majority of the inhabitants of the European Union. Economists predict the collapse of the entire British industry. According to Bloomberg, electricity costs will bankrupt six of the ten largest enterprises in the kingdom. Ordinary Britons are already stocking up on wood, but prices are rising exponentially. In Italy, by the new year, 9 million people in the country may cross the threshold of energy poverty and simply will not be able to pay their bills. Some are already refusing to pay and burning receipts in a revealing manner.

Saving Nord Stream 2

Now gas from Russia to Germany is not supplied due to work on the only working branch of the Nord Stream. It was supposed to be launched the day before, but it turned out that the turbine had leaked. This news came as a shock to Europeans. The Daily Mail says it’s a new blow across Europe and the UK. The author of the article predicts the Day of Judgment, when even wealthy people will not be able to pay for heating and electricity.

Fuel oil, which acts as an alternative to gas, has risen in price by 20% at once. And, it would seem, the answer to the question: “What to do?” Is obvious – to launch the ready-made Nord Stream 2. At least former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder answers this way, with little or no thought.

“If you don’t want to use Nord Stream – 2″, you will have to consider the consequences. And they will be huge. For all those people who are forced to count pennies, it will be very difficult. If it comes to this, I would not want to be in the shoes of those who are responsible for this, “ Schroeder added.

Saving the German economy

It is noteworthy that Schroeder’s interview was published by the Spanish edition. Not everyone in Germany will now dare to say this out loud – after all, one can suffer for this opinion. In Kassel, residents demanded to stop the supply of military equipment to Ukraine and send money instead of Kyiv to save the economy. Everyone was severely dispersed.

The camp of those who demand to improve relations with Russia is growing, and opponents of good neighborliness are becoming more and more radicalized. And they even offer to dismantle Nord Stream 2 on purpose so that there is no temptation to connect it and thereby save Europe from the inevitable crisis.

Which is getting closer: in Germany, Coca-Cola disappears from the shelves, supermarkets simply refused to buy it at the new price.
