Italians are burning their electricity bills as tariffs rise

Italian citizens have begun burning their electricity bills en masse on the streets of Naples after raising tariffs three times, reports the national edition ANSA.

According to an authoritative publication, representatives of the unemployed movement staged demonstrations against a sharp rise in the price of electricity in the country, burning the last utility bills.

“We are tired of promises. We have been waiting for work for years, and today we cannot pay these numbers, which have tripled”, the protesters shouted.

In addition, one of the protesters stressed that at the moment his family is on the verge of survival. According to him, the bills issued by public utilities are unbearable for him.

Earlier it was reported that against the backdrop of rising energy prices in Europe, the risk of mass riots in 101 countries of the world has significantly increased.
