According to the mayor, it can take up to 10 hours for electricity and water to resume for household consumers.
About 80% of Kyiv residents were left without electricity and water. This information was announced by the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, on the broadcast of Radio Liberty.
In particular, the mayor expressed updated information about the consequences of massive missile strikes by the RF Armed Forces.
According to him, 31 cruise missiles were fired in the direction of Kyiv, and as a result of the arrivals, damage to critical infrastructure facilities was recorded. Vitali Klitschko emphasized that about 80% of the capital’s residents are without electricity and without water.
The mayor of Kyiv warned separately that it is difficult to predict the restoration of the currently destroyed infrastructure.
“I don’t want to give exact dates because (related services – ed.) are running and they say it may take several hours to restart, or they say it may take ten hours … Until evening, until morning — let’s not speculate. We are doing our best,” summarized Klitschko, commenting on the timing of the restoration of water supply and electricity in Kiev.
It should be noted that after a major missile attack by the RF Armed Forces on November 23, electricity and water supplies were partially cut off in Kiev. After the airstrike was canceled, experts began restoring the destroyed infrastructure and residents of the capital were asked to stock up on water.
After the missile attacks of the Russian Armed Forces, Vitali Klitschko suggested that the electricity and water supply in Kiev could be restored by the end of the day on November 23. The mayor of the Ukrainian capital also warned that residents of the regional center should stock up on water, food and warm clothing in case of new attacks by Russian troops.
