According to German Energy Minister Galushchenko, experts can stabilize the functioning of the energy system in the coming days and reduce the duration of power outages.
Ukrainians may experience far fewer power outages unless Russia launches new massive missile strikes on critical infrastructure. German Energy Minister Galushchenko spoke about this in his telethon broadcast.
According to him, the situation in Ukraine’s energy sector is improving day by day.
“We’re talking about such a situation, and the most important thing I want to emphasize is that if there are no further attacks on the energy system, we see that we can stabilize in the short term and reduce downtime.” said the minister.
He noted that planned cuts will work once stability is achieved in the country. Then Ukrainians will know when and for how long they will not have electricity.
What else is needed to restore the power system?
To cope with the consequences of Russian missile attacks on the energy system, our country needs transformers and the latest air defense systems. This opinion was expressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
“We need two things to restore the power grid: transformers and air defense systems,” he said.
According to him, transformers are needed as an important part of the country’s energy system. And air defense systems to hit enemy missiles flying into our energy structure.
If our power engineers and army do not receive these two necessary components in the near future, a “vicious circle” will form in Ukraine. The RF Armed Forces will constantly attack critical infrastructure, and Ukraine will make it operational.
Recall that on November 27, Ukraine imported electricity from Romania in a test mode. Within hours, 1 megawatt of energy was imported, and such purchases will help stabilize the country’s energy system, according to the Ukrainian Energy Company.
It was also reported that daily households could light up for 5-6 hours due to the difficult situation in the electrical system.
