More houses will be closed from light in Kiev: DTEK statement

According to the company, 750 additional residential buildings in Kiev that had not previously come under severe restrictions have been added to the blackout lists. According to DTEK, these buildings were upgraded along the same lines as critical infrastructure facilities.

“For fair and equal conditions to power supply and disconnection of all customers, DTEK conducted technical studies to optimize the power supply scheme for critical infrastructure and, where possible, created an alternative light source scheme for residential buildings. Now there will be 750 additional houses closed on equal terms with others. , which will shorten the shutdown time for all Kyiv residents,” he said.

DTEK claims that large pumping, boiler stations and health facilities in Kiev have not suffered power cuts before. Exceptions were also made for 1,497 residences. As of November 30, 750 apartment buildings in Kiev will be subject to emergency and stabilization power outages.

For the remaining 747 buildings, DTEK will not be able to change the existing power distribution scheme yet and will be connected to the same lines as critical infrastructure facilities.

Note that they are planning to switch to manual power cuts in Kiev. According to YASNO, residential apartments connected to the lines of critical infrastructure facilities with this method will be without electricity.

It was also reported that Ukraine will carry out checks on compliance with the cut-off programs. Monitoring, which will involve SBU and Ukrenergo employees, will continue until the end of martial law.
