In Kherson, energy engineers adjust the operation of the power system and gradually light the city. Now the connectivity level ranges from 71% to 96% depending on the region
After Kherson’s liberation from Russian occupation, work continues to restore electricity supply in the city. Already 85% of the city or 113 081 subscribers Yaroslav Yanushevich, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration (OVA), said he can use electricity again.
He noted that the level of connectivity varies between 71% and 96%, depending on the region. The power supply in the villages has been completely renewed:
- reeds;
- Lakeside;
- Belozerka – by 70%.
Also, according to Yanushevich, a pumping station has already been put into operation, which supplies water to 70% of the townspeople. In particular, voltage was applied to the well to fill the reservoirs of the pumping water system No. 2 with sufficient pressure. Very soon Kherson residents will be able to use the water.
Recall that Kherson was under Russian occupation for 8 months. On November 11, 2022, the city was liberated by the Ukrainian army. During the retreat, the invaders left Kherson without power and water. According to the district council, Russian troops damaged a high-voltage power line on the Beryslav Kakhovka highway, destroying three poles.
Ukrainian electrical engineers engaged in the restoration of damaged infrastructure and conducted a test supply of the city’s electricity grids in Kherson on 26 November.
Earlier, Focus wrote that Ukrainian immigrants can get new financial aid. Thus, 2.2 thousand UAH is paid to Ukrainians by the charity BHA&Save the Children.
It was also reported on December 5 that an oil embargo on the maritime supply of Russian oil to the European Union entered into force. The ceiling price for oil from Russia was set at $60 per barrel. The European Union, G7 and Australia agreed on a ceiling price for Russian oil on 2 December.
