This is all part of the Power Banking project, and the largest banks have already joined the “ATM national circulation” whose duty branches will operate during the total outage.
In the event of a total power outage due to rocket attacks on Russia, Ukrainian banks can cancel the commission for cash withdrawals from ATMs and set uniform extended limits. This was reported by the press service of the Central Bank of Ukraine.
It was noted that all this is part of the Power Banking project, and the largest banks have already joined the “ATM national circulation”, whose duty branches will operate during the total outage.
All the necessary equipment for uninterrupted work without electricity is already delivered to the branches of these financial institutions, the states are strengthened by the bank with additional staff, cash registers, ATMs and safes.
At the same time, the requirements for banks were increased due to frequent power cuts. For example:
- task departments should be clearly defined in each region – at least 35%, their work should not stop;
- Bank customers should be informed of working hours and the list of branches on duty, their addresses, telephone numbers and working schedule;
- Security measures for banking transactions, including cash transactions, should be strengthened.
Recall that earlier the National Bank of Ukraine stated that in the event of a power outage, 1,035 off-duty branches of systemic banks will operate throughout Ukraine. You can find out where the nearest branch is to you from the map in the link.
Focus also said that because of frequent power cuts, Ukrainians are allowed to pay less for electricity. So, according to the decision of the National Energy and Utilities Commission (NKREKU), some residents of the country will be charged for electricity not according to consumption standards, but taking into account the reduction factor.
