Not everyone has a light: the people of Kyiv were called the regions with the most difficult electricity situation.

The lighting situation in Kiev remains complex and critical. Stabilization shutdown programs in the capital are currently not working.

As of the evening of Saturday, December 17th, the most difficult situation regarding light in Kiev remains in Pechersk and on the left bank of the city. Sergey Kovalenko, CEO of the energy company Yasno, announced this.

According to him, in general, the electricity situation in Kiev remains complex and critical. Stabilization shutdown programs in the capital are currently not working

“Some areas of Kiev suffer more. Pechersk, part of the left bank and others,” he said in a statement.

He noted that power engineers continue to work to restore the system, but it is too early to say that the electricity situation in Kiev will stabilize in the near future.

Sergey Kovalenko, “Unfortunately, there is no 100% guaranteed answer to the question “When will the light appear?” at a given address. But you can see that the availability is increasing every hour.”

New deduction schedules for Odessa

From next week, DTEK will launch new stabilization shutdown programs in Odessa. According to DTEK, the new shutdown programs for the city take into account the difficult situation in the energy system due to terrorist attacks by the Russian army. Charts will be divided into three categories:

  • White color in chart – The light is on and will not be turned off at this time.
  • Gray color in chart – there will be no light guarantee at this time.
  • Light gray color in chart – possible shutdowns if the imbalance in the power system increases.

Meanwhile, the European Union is considering the project of laying an underwater energy cable in the Black Sea. The European Union needs the integration of renewable energy sources and “strong electrical connections”, according to Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission (EC).

“This is why the Black Sea power cable between Romania, Georgia and Azerbaijan is so important. This is a really ambitious project, it will connect us on both sides of the Black Sea and move towards the Caspian Sea.” AK has been notified.

The project will help restructure Ukraine’s energy system and rebuild the country. EU authorities are now awaiting the results of the feasibility study of the project.

Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky urged European countries to increase electricity exports to Ukraine due to the intense bombardment of energy infrastructure by the Russian army.
