Ukrenergo explained why it took so long to restore infrastructure (video)

The nature of the damage does not allow repair work within an hour or two. According to one of the installers, it takes more than a month to repair a transformer or switch.

Ukrenergo clearly showed why it took so long to repair energy infrastructure damaged in the Russian attacks. This was reported on the YouTube channel of Ukrenergo.

The video released by the national company was taken during the restoration of an important facility that supplies electricity to hundreds of thousands of consumers. For this reason, the RF Armed Forces fired six shots at him.

“We’ll definitely restore everything, but destroying is faster than rebuilding,” the video description says.

The nature of some damage does not allow repair work to be carried out within a few hours.

“The job you see here takes more than a year,” said one repair team member, adding that it could take more than a month to restore a transformer or switch.

“Civilians ‘feeled all this beauty,’ as they say, it’s hard to imagine sane that this could happen,” said the plumber.

“And so it’s already at the limit of its capacity. We’re working,” he explained.

Recall that since the beginning of this year, SBU officials have neutralized hundreds of enemy cyberattacks on energy facilities. The energy department announced that rocket attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector have been complemented by cyberattacks that have been systemic since October 2022.

Previously Focus The NBU reportedly said that the effects of Russian energy terrorism on the economy will be long-lasting. And although Ukraine has a certain financial strength, still massive bombardment and destruction of energy infrastructure undermine financial stability.
