They plan to create new requirements for the sale of chicken eggs in Ukraine. In particular, the product will be separated by class and weight before it leaves the store and reaches the buyer.

New conditions will arise for the sale of eggs in Ukraine. Goods are expected to be sold by categories: quality, weight, external characteristics. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine.

It is reported that there will be two classes of chicken eggs: “A and B”. Class “A” eggs should have a clean, firm shell, an inactive yolk with no clear contours. In addition, such eggs have foreign odor, etc. should not contain. They are also divided by weight:

  • “XL” (“extra large”): eggs weighing 73 g or more;
  • “L” (“large”): eggs 63 g or more but weighing less than 73 g;
  • “M” (“medium”): eggs 53 g or more but less than 63 g;
  • “S” (“small”): Eggs weighing less than 53 g.

At the same time, all “B” class eggs are eggs that do not correspond to the quality of “A” class.
