The company said that it is possible to increase someone’s share in the distribution of electricity limits only by reducing someone else’s share.
Ukrenergo explained how the electricity limits between regions are calculated. This takes into account how many switchboards can generate electricity, the state of the grid, the level of pre-consumption during this time and a number of other parameters. This was stated in the press service of NEK on Telegram.
It is reported that the basic principle of the existence of the electrical grid is to consume electricity as much as it is currently produced. However, an imbalance of a few percent causes accidents in the system.
To facilitate the explanation, Ukrenergo decided to refer to the example of a large cake. For example, Ukrainians were asked to imagine a group of adults ordering 1 kg pies for lunch. Everyone eats their share to be satiated without leaving a trace.
The company has long reported that the situation looks like this:
- Vasily (40 years old, 190 cm tall, weighing 100 kg, gaining physical labor) – ordered a piece of the cake, which makes up 40%;
- Maria (20 years old, height 170 cm, weight 65 kg) – ordered 20% of the cake;
- Mikhail and Tatyana – traditionally ate 15% each;
- And the smallest participant in the dinner – Andrei – was always satisfied with a 10% share.
Ukrenergo wrote that the situation has changed, and therefore the weight of the cake has been reduced by half. However, the parts trusted by guests remained the same at 40%, 20%, 15% and 10%.
The message says that in this example, Vasily represents regions with industrial facilities and high population density. Therefore, consumption volumes are higher there.
NEC said that it is possible to increase one’s share of the pie in the distribution of limits only by reducing someone else’s share.
Cake Distribution
Ukrenergo said that to calculate the maximum consumption volumes, oblenergos offers an overall estimate that takes into account numerous factors, including transition processes to NEC, relocation of businesses and others.
Then, as reported, already “Ukrenergo” provides the received data to the Ministry of Energy for analysis and approval. Then the oblenergos distributes the current amount of electricity. First of all, critical infrastructure is powered, which includes water services, heat supply, hospitals and defense businesses.
“We understand that a long life below the limits is tiring. But it is important to remember the real reasons for the restrictions – these are the 4 months of systematic missile and drone attacks by the Russians and the devastation they have caused.” says.
Previously Focus He wrote that DTEK explains what threatens Ukrainians with not paying. After the Russian army’s total occupation, many Ukrainians left their homes to go to safer areas and even abroad. But it’s not worth worrying about later having to pay for the light they don’t use.
We also recall the start of a pilot project to restore the energy system in Ukraine. Within the scope of the project, energy facilities in one part of Ukraine will be rebuilt with more energy efficient equipment. They want to implement this idea in the regions most affected by the war.
