Odessa region will get all powerful generators in one day, – Shmyhal

According to the instructions of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal, only the powerful generators in the Ministry of Energy will be delivered to the Odessa region within 24 hours. The Prime Minister of Ukraine wrote this on his Telegram channel.

The Minister stated that dozens of generators were sent to the region.

It is also planned to bring a gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 25 MW to Odessa.

The emergency shutdowns are caused by a large-scale accident at one of the high-voltage substations that had previously suffered repeated Russian bombardment. Therefore, it is not possible to quickly restore the power supply.

At an extraordinary meeting, the government ordered the establishment of a 24-hour headquarters, chaired by the Minister of Energy, which should include the deputy head of the Ministry of Interior and representatives of other departments.

“I also entrusted the State Department with the task of applying to Turkey for additional support in the form of power ships,” Shmygal said.

Within 24 hours, residents of Odessa will receive the necessary support. First of all, electricity will be provided to critical infrastructure facilities as well as apartments. “Invincibility Points” will switch to working 24 hours.

Previously Focus He reported that Ukrenergo announced when the electricity supply to Odessa and neighboring regions will be resumed. According to the power company, outages may last longer than usual due to a fault at one of the high voltage substations.

Recall that representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the possibility of rocket attacks in the south of Ukraine. Natalya Gumenyuk, representative of the Armed Forces Command, said that the invaders are actively exploring the coast of Odessa and the Mykolaiv regions using UAVs.
