According to the distribution operator, the new electricity consumption limits allow the light not to be turned off from 10 am to 3 pm.
NPC “Ukrenergo” has set new limits on energy consumption, which will allow you to keep the light on for several hours in Kyiv and the region, as well as in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported in DTEK’s press service on 8 February.
Ukrenergo has set the following limits:
- Kyiv (00:00 – 10:00 – 845 MW and 15:00 – 24:00 – 1027 MW);
- Kyiv region (00:00 – 10:00 – 774 MW and 15:00 – 24:00 – 823 MW);
- Dnipropetrovsk region (00:00 – 10:00 – 1533 MW and 15:00 – 24:00 – 1595 MW).
The new electricity consumption limits will allow the use of planned outages and there will be no power outages from 10 am to 3 pm.
“The limits set also allow the power supply not to be limited between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm,” DTEK said in a press release. However, in case of increased load, stabilization shutdowns can be applied on schedule at this time.
At the same time, it was noted that the situation regarding electricity is still difficult due to a serious accident that occurred in the Odessa region.
Recall, on February 8, Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko said that Ukraine’s energy system survived 12 missile attacks from Russia and 14 drone attacks on energy facilities, and therefore the deficit in the system still remains and power outages continue throughout the country.
We also remember that on February 7, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that after the accident at the substation, the electricity situation in Odessa was gradually improving. More than 80 powerful generators have been delivered to the city.
Earlier, it was reported that on February 3, due to a large-scale accident at the NPC Ukrenergo substation in the Odessa, Suvorovsky, Primorsky and Malinovsky districts, as well as a temporary power cut of part of the Odessa region.
