Now, of the 26,000 vacancies the employment service holds, the lion’s share belongs to skilled workers who own a particular tool of work.
In 2023, a serious crisis continues in the labor market, on the backdrop of the war in Ukraine. Elena Melnyk, deputy director of the Employment Policy Enforcement Department, said in the broadcast of the telethon that as of February, 156 thousand unemployed citizens were officially registered in Ukraine.
“Today, 156 thousand of our citizens are officially registered as unemployed in the service. The largest number of applicants and registered are women, with 71 percent.”
According to him, most of the unemployed are registered to:
- Kharkov region;
- Zaporozhye;
- Dnepropetrovsk;
- sumy
At the same time, the employment service currently has 26 thousand vacancies, but most of them are for skilled workers who have certain tools to work.
Employers are also looking for employees to work in the trade and service sectors. There are still many vacancies for citizens who know how to maintain and repair cars.
Everything is not so bad: who will be in demand in the labor market in 2023 and their salary will increase
At the end of 2022, the personnel portal Work.ua conducted a survey among HR professionals from 37 small, medium and large businesses, which concluded that most employers plan to revise salaries in 2023 and their growth could range from 8% to 30%. % depending on the situation in Ukraine and the level of competition for specialists. It is stated in this article Focus “To reach a new level. How and how much Ukrainians will earn in 2023.”
Maxim Rozgon, managing partner of the consulting company Osoba, believes that the situation in the labor market will begin to change positively in March-April, unless there is a significant change on the front that is not in favor of Ukraine.
“In the case of a positive scenario, we will even have a shortage of staff for certain vacancies by the end of next year,” says Maxim Rozgon.
According to the expert, the increase in salaries in 2023 is primarily in areas related to the restoration of the country, namely:
- structure;
- energy;
- medicine;
- military-industrial complex (MIC);
- production of high-tech products;
- agro-industrial complex (APC), processing of agricultural products.
Previously Focus He said that as of January 2023, 2 million Ukrainians were looking for work within the country and 2.7 million had gone abroad due to the war, but were ready to return to work.
