Ukrainians extended social benefits until the end of the war: who will get the money

Payments to IDPs will be made automatically during martial law and one month after its end.

In 2023, citizens of Ukraine will continue to receive social payments that expire after February 24, 2022. Funds will be paid in particular to IDPs (IDPs) of UAH 2,000 per adult and UAH 3,000 per child or disabled person. This was reported on February 27 by the press service of the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.

  • Shelter assistance for IDPs;
  • payments to children who are in distress and have a guardian and a serious illness or disability;
  • payments to citizens who do not receive a pension and (or) are disabled or take care of people with disabilities;
  • Payments made to healthy persons who have to stay out of work due to group I disability or the care of a person over 80 years of age.

The following are also eligible for financial aid:

  • low-income families and single mothers receiving payments for children
  • Persons who receive temporary benefits after reaching general retirement age but are not eligible for a pension.

It has been clarified that in order for the payments to the above categories of citizens to continue, it is necessary to contact the social services. If people live in areas of active hostilities, these payments will continue automatically without resorting to social services.

Recall that the Ministry of Reintegration said how Ukrainian citizens who fall under the category of IDPs can confirm their work experience without a work book. The Ministry reported that such persons can use the electronic service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

On February 23, Minister of Social Policy Daria Marchak announced that for March 2023 in Ukraine it is planned to index pensions, which provides an increase in payments to working citizens who have reached retirement age. The increase in pension payments will affect the most vulnerable categories of Ukrainians.
