The state does not refuse to pay financial assistance to Ukrainians who had to leave their homes due to the war and became internally displaced, but now such Ukrainians will be controlled differently.
Ukraine has agreed on a slightly different algorithm for controlling internally displaced persons. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, IDPs will now be checked only if they suspect they are receiving illegal aid.
“We cannot allow any form of discrimination against internally displaced people. People should be warned. They don’t have to stay at home day and night in order not to lose the financial aid they really need.”
According to the Ministry, regional social services bodies are obliged to warn immigrants about the upcoming visit and, during the visit, draw up a law and inform the citizen of the necessity. 10 days visit the social protection institution of the population and pass on your identity.
The Ministry of Reintegration, “And only in case of non-attendance, IDPs can revoke the status of IDPs and stop the payments made to them.”
The Ministry also reminded that it is possible to lose IDP status in the following cases:
- go abroad;
- return to permanent residence;
- failing to notify on time of the actual change of residence.

State financial assistance is paid automatically and the amount of payments is:
- 3 000 hryvnia – children and citizens with disabilities;
- 2,000 UAH – to all other citizens.
In this case, social assistance is based on the following categories of citizens:
