There are currently no restrictions on the transportation of sanctioned goods to Russia through Turkey. Writes about it TASS with reference to the Eurasian Union of Participants in Rail Freight Transportation (ESU).
Recall that on March 9, difficulties arose with the transit of cargo of American and Canadian production to Russia through Turkey. At the same time, it was problematic to issue some TNVED codes, regardless of the country of origin. Then the experts said that what happened was due to software updates.
“There are no restrictions on sanctioned cargo, the failure that occurred is indeed related to software updates. And our agents confirm this. We do not know anything about new interruptions in logistics at the moment”– the press service of the ESP quotes the words of the executive director of Trans Synergy, Stanislav Stankevich.
He added that the incident had no effect on the volume of maritime cargo traffic from Istanbul to Novorossiysk.
The incident was also commented on by the transport and logistics company Kuehne + Nagel. In an interview with TASS, representatives of the organization said that at the moment only American-made goods are not released from the country. This did not affect the general cargo flow in any way, however, it is necessary to observe how events will unfold in the future.
