Since the beginning of the year, Russia has increased supplies of platinum to China by 279 times. This is reported RBC with reference to Chinese customs officers.

The publication provides data for January-February in comparison with the same period in 2022. In weight terms, exports rose to 1.67 tons. On this Russia earned 53 million dollars. The amount has increased 265 times.

It is noted that the supply of palladium and rhodium increased by 8.5 and 7 times in weight terms, respectively. Norilsk Nickel experts explained this process by the reorientation of Russian business to the Asian market.

Recall that in the summer of 2020, the State Duma proposed to increase the production of precious metals in the Russian Federation.

Earlier it was reported that Moscow and Beijing are going to increase the scale of trade. During Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Russia in March, a plan for economic cooperation until 2030 was announced.
