Compensation is provided to owners of private houses and apartments located in the liberated area.
In Ukraine, from May 10, 2023, a compensation program єVіdnovlennya for damaged housing was launched. This is reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
As part of the program, state cash assistance will be provided for minor or minor repairs to residential buildings damaged as a result of a full-scale Russian invasion. Money can be used to repair:
- roof;
- replacing windows or doors;
- floor restoration etc.
Who will be compensated?
Compensation is provided to owners of private houses and apartments in the liberated area, where repairs are not carried out on their own. Compensation is awarded for housing:
- Damaged by conflict after February 24, 2022;
- located in the unoccupied territory of Ukraine;
- salvageable;
- only partially repaired or not repaired at all.
How to pay?
To get financial aid, you must:
- submit a damaged goods report in the mobile app or on the Diya website (if you have not done so before);
- Open a special account in the bank “єVіdnovlennya” (live in the application of the bank online or in a branch). Such a card is issued at PrivatBank, Monobank, A Bank, Sense Bank, Pumba;
- apply for financial assistance to “Diya”;
- The application will be evaluated by the local authorities commission and will determine the amount of financial aid. The decision will be communicated by phone;
- wait for the decision of the commission to be notified in “Diya”;
- receive money on the card.
The money paid can only be used for repair goods or repair services. The specific amount is determined by the commission on the basis of calculations approved in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the compensation procedure.
Who will be compensated first?
- Participants in hostilities;
- people with disabilities as a result of war;
- war veterans;
- family members of fallen soldiers;
- mobilized;
- large families;
- people with disabilities in groups I and II;
- parents-educators of family-type orphanages;
- guardians/guardians, foster parents and foster caregivers;
- orphans and children without parental care.
Recall that in October 2022, it was learned that the destroyed houses of Ukrainians who lost their homes due to the war will be compensated, but real estate purchased with this money cannot be resold indefinitely.
