The amount of payments, as specified in the PFC, will depend on several components – the length of service and the amount of salary.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine talked about the increase in social benefits, which will take place “retrospectively” in June. How long can Ukrainians expect in the near future.
Olena Okhrimenko, Director of the Department of Pensions, Insurance Payments, Social Services, Housing Subsidies and Benefits of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, said that the pensions of working pensioners will be recalculated in June. They will be able to receive incremental payments for previous months such as April, May and June, but this can be significant.
The amount of recalculated pensions depends on several components:
- insurance experience;
- salary received by a working pensioner.
“Everyone will have their own increase. Maybe 100 UAH, or maybe 1000-1200 UAH. It all depends on what indicators a person has while working in the last two years. Also, when calculating pensions, salaries are taken from July 1, 2000. Then, this period Two more years will be counted since the last recalculation for: from March 1, 2021 to February 28, 2023.
The recalculation in June will affect retirees who have worked for 2 years after the appointment of pensions. We’re also talking about those that haven’t been indexed for the last 24 months but stopped working a few months after the last recalculation.
The new payment amounts will only be based on these few months.
Recall, on May 26, analysts reported that women in Ukraine receive less pension than men. The average pension in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2023 is 5,238 UAH, while the average pension for women is 3,926 UAH, and for men – 5,701 UAH.
