From May 9, Ukrainians whose homes were slightly damaged as a result of the armed attack of the Russian Armed Forces are entitled to compensation under the “YeVdnovlennya” program. But in reality, not all people will receive this help.

All citizens of Ukraine whose homes were damaged by the conflict and are subject to restoration. This applies to other living spaces such as apartments, private homes, and dorm rooms.
However, priority will be given to:
- Warriors,
- people with disabilities as a result of war,
- war veterans,
- family members of the fallen soldiers,
- mobilized
- big families,
- people with group I and II disabilities,
- parent-educators of a family-type orphanage;
- guardians/guardians,
- foster parents and foster caregivers,
- orphans and children without parental care.
No assistance is provided to those who are sanctioned; persons convicted of crimes against national security and their heirs.
What do you need to receive compensation?
To receive compensation, you must:

- Open a special account “єVіdnovlennya” in one of the participating banks. You can open the card in the banking app and at the bank branch. Currently, the following banks are connected with “єVіdnovlennya”: Monobank, PrivatBank, Sens Bank, A-Bank, PUMB. The list of partner banks will be updated as they connect to “єVіdnovlennyu”.
- Apply for compensation in “Dії”. Will there be compensation if people install broken windows themselves?

“Registration in Dії is mandatory, because the program takes information about real estate from the records, that is, the owner of the house must apply. In other words, if the victim does not have relatives and friends who can help him, if he cannot establish a “Diya” and send an application, it will be impossible for him to receive compensation for “technical reasons”.

Also, if the victim independently made repairs and installed broken windows, he will not be compensated. The only option that will not interfere with the payment of money is to clog the window with plywood or close it with a film.
