Russians will have debts worth 7.4 billion rubles written off without trial

More than 21 thousand Russians admitted to extrajudicial bankruptcy from September 2021 to September 2023 will have a total debt of 7.39 billion rubles written off. Of these, 5.42 billion have already been written off.

As follows from the Federal Resources data available to “Izvestia”, since the beginning of 2023, almost eight thousand people (7,960 citizens) have been admitted to the extrajudicial bankruptcy procedure. This figure exceeds the figures for 2022 by 69.5 percent.

If we consider bankruptcy through the courts, then in 2023 almost 250 thousand people were declared bankrupt, including individual entrepreneurs. In 2022 it was 28.8% less.

The largest number of people filing for bankruptcy are in the Moscow Region (12.6 thousand people), Moscow (12.1 thousand people) and the Krasnodar Territory (11.8 thousand people).
