Ukrainian citizens who meet certain criteria can receive cash assistance from UNHCR. Especially single parents and families caring for adopted children.
According to the publication “On Retirement”, the charity Right to Protect is collecting data in order to receive financial assistance from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
According to the charity foundation “Right to Defense” is the agency’s official partner in collecting data for monetary assistance.
Who can receive cash assistance from the UN?
Payments are made to people who have not yet received assistance from international organizations and whose monthly income per capita does not exceed 5,400 hryvnia. According to the fund, applicants who register between 10/1/23 and 31/12/23 will receive a payment of 3,600 hryvnia and an additional 2,220 hryvnia for each family member for 3 months in preparation for the winter period.
Ukrainian citizens who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:
- Single parents caring for minor children under the age of 18 and/or persons over the age of 55;
- Families of elderly people over 55 years of age;
- families caring for individuals with special needs;
- Families caring for adopted children.
How to apply for cash assistance from the UN?
To apply for UN assistance, you must prepare and submit the following documents:
- taxpayer’s individual tax number (TIN);
- identification;
- IDP certification;
- IBAN of the applicant’s bank card;
- the child’s birth certificate;
- a document confirming the fact of custody of the child;
- Document confirming disability or chronic disease (identity card or medical certificate).
Let us remind you that on November 24, it was reported that the maximum amount of pension paid for assistance from the UN in Ukraine has been increased. The increase from 3 thousand hryvnia to 3,250 hryvnia will occur at the expense of WFP funds.
