IDPs will be paid 3.6 thousand hryvnia per month: How to get help from the UN?

Financial assistance will be paid to displaced persons who left their homes after February 24, 2022, and those who returned to their places of permanent residence.

The Right to Protection Charity Foundation has resumed accepting applications for financial assistance from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). So, in 2024, some Ukrainian families will be paid 3.6 thousand hryvnia per member. This was reported on the organization’s Telegram channel.

It is known that the fund payment from UNHCR will be made within three months.

Who will receive financial aid?

Aid in the amount of 3.6 thousand hryvnia is provided to Ukrainians whose monthly income is 5.4 thousand hryvnia and who have not previously received payments from charities.

Payments are available for displaced persons who left their homes after February 24, 2022, and for persons who have already returned to their permanent place of residence. Applicants must also meet the following vulnerability criteria:

  • Single parents caring for children under 18 and/or people over 55;
  • Families of elderly people over 55 years of age;
  • families caring for individuals with special needs;
  • Families caring for adopted children.

How to register?

To do this, you need to visit registration points in the Poltava region. It will be open between 10:00 – 16:00 on February 29 and March 7:

  • in the village Bolshaya Bagachka, st. Shevchenko, 73.

To register, applicants must submit the following documents:

  • TIN;
  • identification;
  • IDP certification;
  • IBAN of the main applicant’s bank card;
  • birth certificate of children;
  • child custody certificate;
  • disability or chronic disease certificate or medical certificate.

The message says, “All family members will need to be present to apply. For families with people with limited mobility, registration is allowed using original documents, provided that a health certificate is presented.”

Previously, it became known that they wanted to expand the list of citizens entitled to compensation for housing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine. It is assumed that payments will be received by non-profit public associations and charities.
