The granting of rights to Supernova Airlines, which is owned by Nova Poshta, does not constitute a real permission to operate flights. Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Regions of Ukraine Timur Tkachenko wrote about this in his Telegram.
According to him, the news is spreading that the Supernova Airlines company has received a license to operate regular international air transportation on the Lviv-Prague and Kiev-Prague routes. Many people understood the news “in their own way” and began declaring that “the sky had partially cleared”. But this is not true.

Tkachenko noted that in accordance with the definition provided by the Air Code of Ukraine, an air carrier providing services for the transportation of passengers, cargo, mail by air must obtain the appropriate certificate and license to carry out the above activities.
“The right granted is not a permit to operate an actual flight, but merely a commercial opportunity to transport cargo on specified routes. Currently, the company has received a cargo transportation license, meaning it has completed the transportation process. The cycle of formation as an airline,” Tkachenko noted.
