Families whose income is not sufficient to cover heating costs on their own have the right to receive housing allowance for the purchase of solid fuel.
Residents of Ukraine can apply for housing assistance and assistance purchasing solid fuel or heating oil, including firewood and coal. However, this type of assistance is not available to everyone. It is designed only for those who do not use central heating and also for those who do not use gas or electricity for heating. This was reported by the Pension Fund (PFU).
The message clarified that citizens in these categories may also be provided with housing allowance or assistance with utility bills, including:
- electric;
- water supply;
- garbage collection etc.
It was noted that the right to receive housing assistance for the purchase of solid fuel is given to families whose income cannot independently cover heating costs. Additionally, solid fuel benefits are offered to certain categories of citizens, including:
- war veterans;
- Victims of the Chernobyl disaster;
- large families and others.
Housing subsidies and assistance for the purchase of solid and heating household fuels are granted at the individual’s individual request. And only once a calendar year. In this situation:
- Application and declaration are submitted for housing aid allocation;
- To allocate a benefit, you need to submit an application and, if necessary, submit a certificate of the presence of stove heating in residential premises.
