The average salary of Ukrainians in three quarters of 2024 was 20,600 hryvnia; This is 22.2% more than in 2023. However, salary levels vary by sector. This is stated in the data of the State Statistics Service.

Workers in the information and telecommunications sector receive the most money, at almost 51,000 hryvnia. This includes IT, communications and media-related professions. In second place is aviation transport with a salary of almost 40,500 hryvnia. These are pilots, air traffic controllers, aircraft maintenance technicians, etc.

The average salary in the financial sector is 40,200 hryvnia. These are often employees such as financial analysts, bank employees and insurance agents. At the same time, the lowest incomes are seen in the fields of education and culture. Teachers, including educators and university professors, earn an average of 14,000 hryvnia. In arts, entertainment, libraries and museums, the salary is approximately 12,500 hryvnia. These workers include actors, musicians, librarians and tour guides.

Low salaries in these fields make it difficult to attract new staff and create a shortage of qualified specialists. The biggest increase in wages was in the field of information and telecommunications, with 38 percent. Salaries in postal and courier activities increased by 37.4% to 15,600 hryvnia. The aviation transport sector increased by 36%, the average salary here is 40,500 hryvnia.
