Customs officials reported that the majority of goods were imported into Ukraine from the People’s Republic of China. At the same time, our country exports the most to neighboring Poland.
According to the report of the State Customs Service, goods worth $70.7 billion were imported to Ukraine in 2024 and goods worth $41.6 billion were exported.
It increased by 13% compared to 2023, when trade turnover was $99.4 billion. At the same time, taxable imports amounted to $57.4 billion, accounting for 81% of the total volume of imported goods.
The most imported products to Ukraine were:
- China – $14.4 billion;
- Poland – $7 billion:
- Germany – $5.4 billion.
The most exported goods from Ukraine were:
- Poland – $4.7 billion;
- Spain – $2.9 billion;
- Germany – $2.8 billion.
In 2024, imported goods such as machinery, equipment and transportation amounted to 25 billion dollars. During customs procedures, 172.3 billion UAH, which is 29% of customs duty revenues, was paid to the budget.
Chemical industry products amounted to 11.7 billion dollars, and 87.7 billion UAH of customs clearance was paid to the budget. This represents 15% of revenues.
Last year, fuel and energy materials worth a total of $8.9 billion were imported into the country during customs procedures, of which UAH 157.6 billion were paid. Overall, this accounts for 27% of customs duty revenues.
Ukraine exported food products worth $24.6 billion, metals and products worth $4.4 billion, and machinery and equipment worth $3.5 billion. UAH was paid to the budget.
