IMSS and CATEM sign historic agreement for independent workers

Today Master Zoe Robledo, CEO Mexican Institute of Social Securityl (IMSS) and Sen. Pedro Jaces Barba, General Secretary Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM), signed a historic agreement.

From now on, workers in any profession or trade who do not have social security and do not have an employer can apply for entry into the social security system by agreement with KATEM.

This scheme also applies to all workers in our country and abroad who want to receive all social security benefits for themselves and their families in Mexico simply because they are Mexicans.

Teacher Zoey Robledo noted the agreement, assuring that “the alliance with CATEM will increase the number of IMSS branches.”

New era of welfare

For his part, Senator Pedro gets a beard, expressed his commitment to this historic union, which opens a new era of welfare for workers in Mexico. “We will deliver Social Security benefits to every corner of the country so that self-employed workers can access their Social Security entitlement.”

“I also express my gratitude for this public health policy that President López Obrador had the will to create, and I also formally acknowledge the will, support and great work that Master Zoë Robledo has done in Mexican Institute of Social Security”.
