“Being number one nationally in gold mining, we have received important investments that must be translated into the development and well-being of communities, and we have seen it. The mining sector represents an excellent opportunity to move into a state where mining is a real lever of development,” the governor said.

The state president celebrated the announcement of the 35th Acapulco Mining Convention 2023, which will bring all industry and the mining sector together at this meeting in Guerrero, which is home to all nationally and internationally, the governor said.

For its part, the representative Chamber of Mines of Mexico, Christopher Avila Mayer, explained that Guerrero ranks fifth in the nation in terms of mining and is destined to become one of the country’s top mining states in terms of production and modern mining. In addition, he pointed out that there are 29 mining and non-metallic mining municipalities in the subject, creating 4,530 direct jobs and 22,000 indirect jobs.

Mining brings an economic benefit of 3,480,000,000 pesos.
