The German concern for the production of sports shoes and clothing Adidas is going to end cooperation with the American rapper Kanye West after a number of his scandalous statements. This was reported by the Bloomberg news agency, citing sources.

It is noted that due to West’s position and recent publications on social networks, an avalanche of criticism hit the brand. According to agency sources, Adidas, following the fashion house Balenciaga, may break off relations with Kanye as early as Tuesday.

It is indicated that Adidas has been discussing further work with the rapper for several weeks, a joint line with which brings the company up to eight percent of total sales.

Note that the performer faced criticism and accusations of racism because of the scandal at Paris Fashion Week. There, he shocked the audience by appearing at one of the events in a T-shirt with the inscription White Lives Matter (“White Lives Matter”). The slogan was coined as a response to the Black Lives Matter movement (“Black Lives Matter”). West then responded to his critics on social media by calling the BLM movement a scam that is now over. Soon, the rapper’s accounts were blocked due to violations of the social media policy in the field of hate speech.

On October 17, it became known that Kanye West was being threatened with trial for his words about the death of African-American George Floyd. The man’s family was outraged by the words of the artist, who said that Floyd died from an overdose of the drug, and not from police brutality.
